This unit is placed next to the GC and is coupled with the inlet of the GC by means of a transfer line that can be up heated up to 350°C. This way you can easily switch between pyrolysis and liquid injections. The unit is supplied including a low-mass interface that is suitable for carrying out thermal desorption on the sample first, followed by pyrolysis. The pyrolysis temperature can be set with an accuracy of 1°C and has a maximum temperature of 1400°C. The heating rate can be set between 0.01°C/ms to 20.0°C/ms, 0.01°C/sec to 999.9°C/sec and 0.01°C/min to 999.9°C/min. Just like the 5000 model, there is a Clean and Dry option in the system. The temperature can be programmed in up to eight different steps with up to eight different GC runs.
